Difference between Houses and Rashis

I am sure, you are puzzled, whenever you see your own Kundali. A chart is usually filled with lot of numbers and mystical signs. In vedic astrology, there are 12 houses and 12 Rashis. You can refer to my posts on different Rashis. Any north Indian horoscope will look like the post shown below. Figure 1, shows the various houses and they are arranged in a sequence in anti-clockwise manner. Every house represents the particular aspect of life which will be discussed in the coming posts. Figure 2 is slightly different in a way that 12 Rashis are also shown along with houses and Rashis are also arranged in a sequential manner in anti-clockwise. The Houses never change, only the Rashis change. The Rashi rising at the time of birth is called ‘Lagna’.
