Manglik Dosha and Marital Disharmony

Manglik Dosha is the most feared dosha in vedic astrology. Mars is a malefic planet and its occupation or aspect in the house of Marriage is considered very auspicious. Mars is the planet of will power and aggression. It is the only planet which can actually bestows the native with courage to accomplish the task. Any energy can be malefic or benefic depending upon its use. When this ‘energy of aggression’ influences the married life, it causes unnecessary marital problems. Manglik Dosha is activated when Mars is posited in Lagna (1st House), 4th house (house of mental peace), 7th house ( house of marriage), 8th house ( house of married life) and 12 th house ( house of expenditure). In all the cases, mars is aspecting 7th house of marriage or ‘marital harmony’. In South India, even placement of mars in 2nd house is also included for Mars Dosha. Mars is the planet which can not listen to anybody. Its first and foremost duty is to defend itself. Hence when a native having mangal dosha faces the situation of friction, he/she does not keep quiet. He goes on finding logic to defend his decision. Ultimately mars is the planet of LOGIC too.
